Purpose
This Codex is an educational and informational resource. It presents the Upanishads and Advaita Vedanta as philosophical and textual traditions — with accurate Sanskrit, cited translations, and three levels of explanation for each concept and passage.
Nothing on this site constitutes religious instruction, spiritual guidance, or sectarian advocacy. The site does not represent any particular teacher, lineage, or institution. It does not promote Advaita Vedanta over other philosophical traditions. It does not advise readers on spiritual practice.
All Sanskrit verses presented on this site are drawn from published, scholarly translations listed in the Sources page. The site does not invent, paraphrase, or adapt Sanskrit passages. Where interpretation is presented, it is attributed to the relevant commentarial tradition (primarily Śaṅkara's bhāṣyas) and the scholarly sources listed.
