About Crypto Codex

Last verified: June 2026

Crypto is full of jargon, hype, and people trying to sell you something. Crypto Codex is the opposite β€” a free, calm place to actually understand it, explained in plain English for complete beginners and in real depth for experts. No prices, no ads, nothing to buy. Just clear answers.

Why this exists

Most people's first experience of crypto is confusing and a little intimidating. The explanations are either dumbed down to the point of being useless, or so technical they assume you already know everything. Meanwhile, almost every "free" crypto resource is really trying to get you to buy a coin, sign up to an exchange, or click an ad.

We wanted something different: a resource that simply explains, honestly and clearly, with no agenda. A place you can send a curious friend, a worried parent, or your own future self β€” and trust that they'll come away genuinely understanding, not sold to.

How it works β€” three reading levels

Everyone arrives with different knowledge, so most pages let you read at the level that suits you. Start with the 🟒 simple version β€” plain English, no jargon, the kind of explanation a patient friend would give. As you get comfortable, scroll down to 🟑 a bit more detail, and then 🟣 the full technical picture if you want it. You're never forced into the deep end, and nothing is hidden β€” just read as far as feels right and stop whenever you like.

What we promise

A few simple commitments that shape everything here. No selling. We don't sell coins, courses, or anything else, and we take no ads β€” so we have no reason to hype anything. No prices, no predictions. We explain what things are and how they work, not what to buy or where a price is headed. No investment advice. We give you understanding so you can make your own informed decisions. India-aware. Wherever it matters, we explain the Indian context β€” tax rules, regulation, and what applies to you locally.

How we keep it accurate

Crypto is full of misinformation, so we're strict about sources. Every factual claim is traceable to an official, primary source β€” whitepapers, peer-reviewed academic papers, official protocol documentation, government and regulatory publications, and public blockchain data. We do not rely on blogs, news articles, social media, or anonymous sources. If we can't source something properly, we don't say it.

Who publishes this

Crypto Codex is published by The Codex (Let Us Do It For U) β€” a family of knowledge projects based in Mumbai, India, building clear, trustworthy guides across many areas of human knowledge. You can reach us any time:
