10 MIN
1. Intro + why crypto exists
Use the full version from the Standard Session's opening (Foundations Day 1 content) β the 2008 crisis, the embedded newspaper headline in Bitcoin's genesis block. With 90 minutes, you can actually pause for questions here rather than rushing through.
15 MIN
2. How blockchain actually works, properly
This audience has time for real depth. Cover Foundations Days 2-3: the shared-ledger idea, and how blocks link together to become tamper-resistant over time. If you have a whiteboard, draw the actual chain-of-blocks diagram, not just the bank-vs-blockchain comparison.
20 MIN
3. Wallets β actual hands-on setup
This is what makes a 90-minute workshop worth attending over just reading online. If your venue allows it, walk attendees through actually installing a reputable software wallet on their own phone, live, together β generating a seed phrase, understanding what it means, and practicing writing it down safely. This hands-on moment is worth more than any amount of lecturing.
15 MIN
4. DeFi, briefly
A workshop audience can handle a real introduction to DeFi (Foundations Day 9): lending, swapping, and the core idea that code β not a bank β approves these actions. Keep it conceptual; this isn't the moment for tokenomics or yield mechanics.
15 MIN
5. Safety, with a real disaster story
Cover the same core safety rule as the Quick Session, but with real time to tell one full story from the Disasters hub β WazirX or FTX both work well. A detailed real story lands far better with an engaged audience than an abstract warning.
15 MIN
6. Live quiz + open discussion
Run the Blockchain Basics quiz live, then leave genuine open time for questions β a 90-minute audience has usually built up real, specific questions by this point, and this is where the most valuable conversation of the whole session often happens.
