How the privacy model is supposed to work
Worldcoin argues that its system is privacy-preserving, and the technical claims are worth understanding even amid the controversy. When the Orb scans your iris, the project says the image is converted into a numerical code (the IrisCode) and that the original image can be deleted — the system stores the code needed to check uniqueness, not your actual eye picture.
